PORCELAIN BEADS
 

Porcelain beads were introduced for the first time as limited edition beads for Trollbeads Day in 2019. With the Harmony Harvest collection from September 2020 the first porcelain beads became part of the collection.

The art of painting on porcelain originated in China, where the genuine, hard white porcelain was invented. Porcelain is hard, compact and fine-grained, and it cannot be scratched by a knife.

It is a tradition in China to use items from everyday life as a motive. This is to praise the things around us that we normally not give much attention. Often vegetables and fruits such as cabbage, chili, peaches, corn etc. are portrayed. Furthermore, many of the fruits and vegetables have symbolic meanings.
