Hiding Conch Bead

Gently floating on top of the seaweed, the tiny home of the hermit crab has become a room with a view.

The five Sterling silver beads from the Blue Ocean collection are all beautifully detailed and made by hand. The designer behind, is the Danish jewellery designer Søren Nielsen. Søren works by the 3,000-year-old technique ‘cire perdu’ or ‘lost wax’. This method allows for fine details to be reproduced from wax to precious metals. His design inspiration comes from sitting at the burner, letting his thoughts wonder and slowly they begin to take solid form in the wax between his hands. It comes naturally to him.

Please note: Price is for the bead only.

Caring for your silver jewellery

Follow the care instructions below, to ensure that your new jewellery items stay in beautiful condition:

• When not wearing your silver bracelets, beads, earrings, or rings, we recommend that you store them in an airtight bag or box to prevent oxidization. You can also store them in our Trollbeads stacking jewellery case.

• If you wear silver beads on your gold chain, please be aware that the silver can deposit a slight tarnish. This can be easily removed by gently buffing the chain regularly and carefully with a silver-polishing cloth.

• Gentle, regular buffing with a silver-polishing cloth will help to retain the luster in your Trollbeads jewellery - a simple way to keep them clean and sparkling.

• Ensure that you follow our measuring guide to find the right bracelet size, to make sure that there is enough slack for new beads to be added without putting pressure on the lock.

My first Trollbeads were designed with little faces and figures in sterling silver and strung on leather. Their intention was to tell a story and facilitate communication between people. More than 30 years have passed since I began and new Trollbeads keep coming. Trolls, stories, mythology, and other cultures are often my inspiration.
